The Updegraffs (Op den Graeff) can be traced back to 1585 in Krefeld, Germany.  A wealth of information on this family can be found on the internet including their involvement with the establishment of the Mennonite Church and fleeing religious persecution. The Op den Graeffs were one of the original 13 families to establish Philadelphia.

Hi, I am looking for descendants of the Germantown OpDenGraeff family for DNA testing. In particular looking for descendants of Isaac (1678-1745) Updegraff’s son,Jacob line.

Would appreciate any information you may have.
    Thanks, Les

    • Hello. Thanks for reaching out. I am a descendant of Isaac’s son Peter. I have recently done my DNA with 23andme, but have not gotten any of my Uncles to do the Y test yet. I’ll send you an email with more info.
